practice, Northern Province, South Africa
1983 Joined the Veterinary Faculty at Medunsa as a senior lecturer in the Dept.
1991 Appointed Departmental Head: Pathology
1996 Attained M and Diplomate status, registered as a double specialist in the
fields of Veterinary Pathology and Poultry Science with the South African
1997 Promoted to Associate Professor
2000 Joined the Veterinary Faculty of University of Pretoria as part of the amalgamation process, position of Associate Professor in the section of
Pathology, Department of Paraclinical Sciences
2016 Head: Section of Pathology
For the last 23 years I have worked as a consultant to the poultry industry in South Africa, SADCC, the DRC and Egypt in the fields of broiler breeders, hatcheries and broilers, pullet rearing and commercial layers with emphasis on disease diagnostics, prevention and control
I am a member of the American Association of Avian Pathologists and an Associate Editor for Avian Pathology.
