Dr. QI Guang-hai got his B.Sc. Degree in Animal Sciences from Northwestern College of Agriculture, Shaanxi, China in 1983, his M.Sc. Degree in 1991 and Ph.D. degree in 1995 in animal nutrition and feed sciences from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), Beijing, China. He worked as a visiting scientist in the Department of Agricultural, Food and Nutritional Science of the University of Alberta for his Ph.D. thesis studies from December 1993 to August 1995. After working in the Institute of Animal Sciences, CAAS for thirteen years, He transferred to the Feed Research Institute (FRI), CAAS. He is now the Director General and Professor of FRI. While serving in many academic associations and committee in China, Dr. Qi is an associate editor of Poultry Science. He has published 23 books or book chapters and about 150 peer-reviewed articles including more than 30 SCI journal papers. His main research areas include poultry nutrition and nutritional modification of poultry products.
