Dr. Jean-Luc Guérin

Dr. Jean-Luc Guérin is from Nice and completed his studies in Veterinary Medicine at the National Veterinary College of Toulouse. He then completed a Master of Science and a PhD in virology in 2001.
Dr. Guérin is working as a senior lecturer, specialized in poultry production and medicine at the National Veterinary College of Toulouse since 2001. He’s diplomate of the European College of Poultry Veterinary Science (ECPVS), current president of the Education Committee and Director of a residency program. He’s involved in veterinary education in poultry and visits poultry farms in France as in other countries, combining clinical and teaching responsibilities with an active research programme. His main areas of research are waterfowl medicine, avian influenza and emerging avian viruses.
