Dr. Wil J. M. Landman


Dr. Wil J.M. Landman became Doctor in Veterinary Medicine at Zaragoza University Spain in 1984 and in 1987 he also obtained this degree at Utrecht University Netherlands. His PhD Thesis entitled: ‘Amyloid arthropathy in chickens’ was finished in 1998. In 2009 he became De facto recognized Specialist by the European College of Poultry Veterinary Science. He has been employed at GD – Animal Health in Deventer from 1988 until present dedicated to applied research on poultry health. He received the Tom Newman Award for his work on amyloidosis. In 2004 he was awarded for the best scientific paper of the year 2003 published in the Journal of the Royal Dutch Veterinary Association. In 2005 he received the Bart Rispens Memorial Award for the most outstanding scientific publication in Avian Pathology during the years 2001 and 2002. He was the last author of another paper also awarded with the Bart Rispens Memorial Award in 2011.
